I finally finished the Amy Butler Cutie Booties. Aren't they adorable? Sooooo cute. They are each 5 inches long and sewn to fit 6 - 9 months. I think they are precious.

They came together fairly easily, ignoring the fact that I charged ahead and didn't properly read the directions (as usual) and originally ended up with two right booties. I tried to remake the existing bootie into a lefty but it turned out wonky so I ended up making a third.
I've scrapped the idea of making bibs, because frankly, I am burned out on making baby stuff, the baby is due in 8 days and I need to mail these to Hong Kong, and mostly my heart lies with another project. . . turning this bulletin board of trimmed scraps into a blanket.

Guy and I are heading down to the casino tonight to watch a friend's Guns n' Roses tribute band, which should be a fun change of pace.
Those are adorable! Sewing is such a great thing to know how to do.
ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, kind of wish they had those in my size, they'd be a perfect house slipper!
ReplyDeleteAnd loving the fabrics you picked for your quilt - my fave is the one at the top right. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Ohhhhh house slippers would be awesome! I would have never thought of that. Hmmmmm . . . a new project might be taking shape!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the end result! Fantastic job! Also can't wait to see what that blanket looks like when it's done. : O )
